Try to avoid tripping over your own feet while walking - you'll never want to take your eyes off of these shoes. They're not heavy so much as - solid, so if you're looking for a shoe to simply go to the mall in - This - isn't quite the one. (seriously - the build quality alone makes you a bit self conscious.) I've had other saddle oxfords (J.Fisk etc - ) most of which didn't hold a candle to this - however they weren't quite as heavy. (maybe it's the nike air tech in the back?)If you're style is on that level - great - but for the rest of us, pull this bad boy out when you plan on wearing other clothes to match - it's the kind of shoe that makes you stand up straight.
That being said - I felt like the break in period was reasonably short - and the extra waxed laces are a huge plus.
Downside - amazon forgot to put in my cole haan shoe-carry bags. (shame on them)
