Found a boot that fits!!!!! I have always had large calves. Since I was a pre teen and doing physical activity to now- 33 year old who is not so physical and has extra weight! Even if I lose weight the calves don't budge. So imagine my happiness when I was able to zipper these babies up without any effort! I am a Ros Hommerson convert because these are on the more quality side compared to the rest. Let's face it-most wide calf boots fall on the cheap and tacky side. Wide goring, faux leather material, tacky styles. I can't stand it, especially since I'm willing to drop some $ on boot that fit. These are well made, I especially like the covered leather wedge-that sets this boot apart from the rest.

The not so good about this boot is that it bunches up a little around the ankle. I'd much rather have a smooth line all the way up. Also, even though it is a well made boot, it should be maybe $150-$175, not the 250$ or so it is. For $250 I expect something with even more quality, such as leather soles, hand stitched soles- not the rubber sole it has. Also, the lining is a cheap poly- YUCK. Even though I may be bigger, I should be able to receive the same quality as someone who is smaller spending the same amount. For now- these are a good option. I wonder when-if ever-designers such as Cole Haan, Frye, Michael Kors, etc. will make REAL wide calve boots. Until then...I will scour the internet for more Ros Hommerson boots!
