I'm writing this review after owning and wearing these boots for a year, dozens and dozens of times. Each time I've given them a chance because I get many compliments. I've been a loyal Miz Mooz wearer for several years, owning 10 or so pairs of shoes and boots. These are not only poorly designed and uncomfortable by Miz Mooz standards, they are also just bad by any shoe standards.

The sole is extremely hard inflexible plastic, making walking any distance actually painful. The color of the soul telegraphs the cheapness and low quality of the materials. The leather uppers have somehow worked their way down to overhang the ankle area on both boots, which is extremely uncomfortable. I used to compensate by wearing them with my jeans tucked in--to provide padding--but the leather has now permanently settled into this position and this fold seems to be getting sharper on the inside where it rubs my legs. I'm so tired of catching my reflection in the bathroom mirror at work and having to tug on them to pull them up multiple times a day. It's just not worth it.

I bought these to replace a beloved pair of patent red Miz Mooz boots I'd worn into the ground and beyond repair. These are a far cry from the quality of those earlier boots, and I must sadly conclude that not only will I not wear them again this upcoming season, but I can't in good conscience try to sell them on ebay because they're more uncomfortable as time goes on. They'll be going in the donation pile; I wouldn't want someone to pay good money for them. But honestly, I don't even want a homeless person walking around in them all day. They're that uncomfortable.

The review would have been one star except that everyone says how cute they are. Kind of a like a boyfriend who's great on paper but is secretly a huge jerk--only to you.
