Definitely not "out-of-the-box" comfort as described in another review, these were uncomfortable from day one. I ordered true to my size, and while they were long enough, with a little extra room in the toe, they were really tight on the tops and bottoms of my feet, and actually gave me a blister on my ankle on day 2 of breaking them in. I applied some moleskine to my ankles on day 3, when I did my first hike (6.5 miles, fairly difficult terrain) and they weren't too bad. Moleskine made all the difference though.
Really nice grip though, I was the only person in my group who didn't fall on an icy patch that day, and they look really nice. I was just expecting at this price to have some semblance of comfort, if not out of the box, at least after a few days.
