I love these sandals. I am a big girl 230lbs. I am always looking for a supportive shoe that will make it so my feet do not ache after being on them for the day. Lots of good adjustment points, great in water, I kayak. Super cushy bottoms, they fit true to size. Excellent price and pretty color. I purchased the purple and black. I have owned them for 8 months. I wore them to the beach all summer and they still look new. I will buy another pair when these wear out. Love them, and they hide my hideous toes, an extra bonus!

FRYE Men's Hudson Chukka Boot, Natural, 8 M US Review

Ordered these in size 11/M, Nubuck. Fit is good and comfy. Soft foot bed, though some may opt to upgrade, I didn't. Love the color Nubuck, which resembles a grayish color. The soles are soft, yet stable, which should reduce shock on the feet. The sole actually reminds me of a Clark's Original, but I would prefer the Frye. Goes great with jeans or khaki's. I have a dark brown pair similar to this made my Chaps, ($37.00), but there is definitely a difference, Frye being the superior of the two, Cadillac and Yugo. The sole also has a neat little leather Frye patch stitched to the bottom, only cool for the owner because they know its there. Made in Mexico, no complaints there. If you're in to cowboy boots, then you can understand my confidence in Mexico producing a quality shoe, they make top shelf, (premium), quality cowboy boots, so a chukka should be no problem. This shoes has a worn appearance, darker toe and heel than rest of the shoe, which is cool. No complaints on this one.

Update: Telephoned the Frye Company on Friday, 5/25/2012 and spoke with their customer service about another shoe that I was having sizing problems with. Love the shoe, but sizing was terribly off, something not typical of Frye. Long story short, I made mention of Frye having shoes made in China under the pretense of American owned/quality and was informed that the company had be bought out by someone else. End result, out-sourcing to China will become the standard for future Frye shoes, but the prices will remain the same; high! Hhhmmm, more money for the new owner, quality reduction for the end users/purchaser of their products. Mexico is currently the chief producer of Frye products, which I can deal with, but like Chinese products, the only person who benefits are the business owners, less out of pocket expense, cheap labor, etc. Gotta be honest, like Frye products, but I also like their competitor's products, Timberland Boot Company and The Vintage Shoe Company.

If a company is gonna claim US quality since 1863, but out source, at what point does false advertisement come into play. There are a lot of other brands out there that are a lot less expensive and they at least have the audacity to admit that their products are out sourced. That I can deal with, but out right lying is another story when it comes to my dollars.

This Belinda style is my first pair of Hommerson shoes, and I'm pleased. Fit is true to size in length and width. I'm an 8M and bought an 8M. I have ample room in the toe box even with my hammertoe and bunion. I wish the back of the shoe hugged my heel a little more snugly, but that's the problem I have with all closed-back shoes. My heel is much narrower than the front of my foot. Years ago quality shoes were made with double sizing...for example, this shoe would have been made in an 8B/AA, meaning the shoe is a medium width with a narrow heel. Unfortunately, manufacturers have long ago discontinued such custom sizing, especially with everything being made overseas. I will add the small heel grips to the inside of this shoe, and all will be well. I love the young style of this dressy shoe--I don't feel like I'm wearing my grandmother's pumps. If you can no longer wear a high heel, try this one. Leather is excellent quality; plenty of padding. Patent trim makes it a "looker". This was my first shoe order from amazon.com. Great price, no tax, fast delivery, and free shipping both ways--this is the kind of service that will make me order my next pair of shoes from Amazon.

the first impression is, theres a huge diffrence between the quality, i stand on my feet for 7 hours a day and i can tell, this shoe is better in everyway
it is worth the buck.

cons:
it dosent have a green tag, so claiming expense to your supervisor will be tricky

i was wearing the shoe to work one day and pulling a cart, i had to stop somehow and the cart crashed into my back foot, usually, the heavy shoe that i was wearing from walmart will protect me from that, but this shoe the iron plate is redecude to a smaller size for flexibility, the front iron toe dose just really cover your toes and nothing else

its not the safest shoe to work with but its the best one for mobility and comfort.

These boots fit true to size, I wear 6.5 and they fit me perfect. The picture is a little bit misleading, the zipper and buckle on the back is gold not sliver. The circumference of the boots seem bigger than 13 inches, more like 16 inches. SO if you have skinny calves you might not like this boots . There is a lot of room for jeans and legging to be tuck in. I am 5ft 2 inches and they fit right under my knees, these boots is for a much taller person. The heel height is right and the boot is comfortable. The leather on this boot is nice soft and very supple.
