Yes, these shoes arrive narrow, because they are made out of very high quality leather that will stretch and mold to your feet over time. Just like a good pair of leather riding boots, you can't buy them feeling "comfy" from the store because they will stretch and be a full size too big by the 5th time you wear them, especially after you get them a little wet. Since I have zero amounts of patience, I facilitated the break in process by rubbing them with a wet cloth lathered with a conditioning saddle soap. The leather immediately softened and I wore them for the next few hours in relative comfort as they began to mold to my feet. I purchased the nature color in a size 40, which amazon lists as a size 10. I know, a 41 is a size 10 (way to go amazon) but I ended up being OK with this misrepresentation because, again, the quality of the leather warrants getting a half size too small. I always wear a 41, and I admit my heel hangs about 1/8" off the back...a problem that will be rectified when the toe box breaks in and widens. Besides, clogs that are too big quickly go from sexy to clod-hopper. I do not have narrow feet, in fact the ball if my foot is pretty wide (I wear a 9 in men's boots) and these hasbeens work for me. The arch support is phenomenal, and I find myself walking with better posture when I have them on. If you get the nature color, definitely treat with olive oil as the company recommends, they quickly start to get the patina of gorgeous light baseball glove leather.
