I live in Central WI and have to walk across icy parking lots to get to work. We have had 2 storms already and the first one I wore my old hiking shoes that have a good grip. I didn't want to pay the price for the icebugs, but I almost slipped and fell and thought I'm buying them. I wore them for the next storm and the parking lots were really icy. I walked across with confidence because of the "bug grip cleats." Felt stupid I didn't buy these yrs. ago. To me they paid for themselves first time I wore them. They are light, warm, and they really feel comfortable. I wear thin socks that I wear all day at work and they are great boots. I wear 6-6.5 and because I'm mostly wearing them for going to work I ordered a 6. I won't be able to wear thicker socks but that's ok. They are a little narrow around the top part of the boot and I thought this would be an issue. I have thinner ankles and they are very comfortable are really supportive. I am very happy with these boots!
