I bought a full size larger than what I wear in street shoes and am glad I did. When I first got them, I thought even that was too small but once I wore them for a day the lining relaxed for a good fit. They are stiffer than I expected, but very warm and waterproof. I like that I can tie the laces loosely and slip them on and off without retying them each time.

The La Sportiva Miura is the ultimate fusion of edging precision and comfort, but if you liked this big wall shoe for everything that it did before, you're going to love the new sensitivity. La Sportiva narrowed the Laspoflex midsole in the forefoot from 1.8 mm. all the way down to 1.1 mm. for almost double the tactile feedback. Feeling is believing, but you'll love the additional confidence. Just like earlier incarnations, this Miura features a quality 4-mm. XSV Vibram sole that delivers superb friction without accelerated wear, which in turn can save your upper body muscles a little energy. One thing to remember about La Sportiva is that the lasts run a little narrower than other climbing brands, so keep this in mind when you're choosing your shoe.

La Sportiva Miura Climbing Shoes - Men's Yellow/Black 41 Review

I got these shoes prior to a big DWS trip, and they were too big. Beware they are sized at least a half size larger than most climbing shoes I've tried (granted I was always in budget shoes before). These are very comfortable, and the heel does not dig into the achilles like many similar shoes - La Sportiva is good about that. The straps are great, and the rubber is super sticky and stays that way. These are kind of a magnet for pebbles for some reason (if you climb over gravel ever).

One thing to beware of is the toe box is way too high. It allows your big toe particularly to rub upwards on the outside of the toe, and puts a huge pressure point there. Not a huge problem or terribly painful, but annoying and unnecessary - the toe box could just be lower. "But that just means you're not sizing down enough..." No, the rest of the shoe is the most perfect fit ever, and a smaller fit would in no other way help anything to do with their performance - in LS's credit this is a VERY nice stiff shoe.

Overall I'm still very pleased. Definitely getting what I paid for in terms of comfort and performance - just that one gripe. Actually returning the ones I got on Amazon with no problems because they were too large - definitely recommend buying from them.
