Lowa's sizing seems way off for the U.S. market. Length was fine, but they are really tight for a medium/D width. In most shoes that width usually fits me fine, but in these and several other Lowas I tried at the same time, they were not comfy at all. Looks like a really well built shoe, nice and stiff, good sole design (decent tread, defined heel block for downhill braking, edging pad under the big toe), not too much superfluous exposed stitching to wear out, snug but comfy heel pocket. Oh well.
